by Bernard Slade

Same Time, Next Year ran for nearly 1500 performances on Broadway, also played the West End, and was filmed in 1978. It is set in the U.S.

Accountant George and housewife Doris meet at a hotel in February 1951. They have an affair, and agree to meet once a year in the same room, despite both being married to other people and having six children between them. During the time they spend with each other, we learn about the births, deaths, and marital problems each is experiencing at home, while they adapt themselves to the social changes affecting their lives.
